This amazing extreme sport has been life changing. It inspired me, and many of the The Kitesurf Channel team to push ourselves, as it proved to us that anything is possible.

Kitesurfing was invented back in the 90’s by a crazy Frenchman and is now one of fastest growing watersports in the world. The sport really gained momentum by the year 2000, helped by competitions and media exposure. There was at this point only a couple hundred kitesurfers in world, but go to any sunny/windy beach nowadays and you're sure to see lots of colourful kites dancing on the sea! It's a great spectator sport too!
